The Artistic Process

This project was created as an exercise to better familiarize myself with Houdini’s powerful tools for building out procedural environments. I started the project by looking at reference pictures of ruined castles in mountainous regions and, from there, began blocking out the basics of the environment. It took around 5 different major iterations to achieve the final result. The project was built within Houdini and rendered using the Redshift render engine.
